Jamie - CEO & Founder
Jamie is a dynamic leader at OWLearners, driven by her passion for supporting students and advocating for their educational needs. She completed a combined Bachelor of Economics and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Technology Sydney in only four years, demonstrating her exceptional work ethic and commitment to excellence.
After graduating, Jamie worked as a solicitor, where she managed complex financial transactions, honing her analytical skills and deepening her understanding of intricate legal frameworks. However, after a few years in the corporate sector, she found herself missing the rewarding environment of teaching, which she had enjoyed throughout university as a tutor. This realisation inspired her to co-found OWLearners, where she could help create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Outside of her professional pursuits, Jamie is an avid runner, frequently participating in local events that challenge her both physically and mentally.Jamie loves spending time with her dog, often taking her on outdoor adventures. Additionally, her love for animals drives her to volunteer at local veterinary clinics, where she can contribute to the care and well-being of other animals.

Poppy - CEO & FOUNDER
Poppy brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to OWLearners, having studied Conveyancing at the University of Macquarie. Before co-founding OWLearners, Poppy excelled as a senior Conveyancer, where she managed large and complex property transactions. Her experience in this fast-paced environment has honed her analytical abilities and instilled a deep understanding of the importance of attention to detail. Through her multifaceted experiences Poppy embodies a passion for learning, making her an invaluable asset to the OWLearners team.
Poppy’s extensive studies and hands-on experience in property law ignited her profound love for learning and education. This passion for knowledge not only drives her work at OWLearners but also inspires her to cultivate a learning culture where curiosity and exploration are encouraged.
Outside of her work, Poppy is a devoted fan of the South Sydney Rabbitohs and enjoys cheering them on during the season. She believes in balancing hard work with fun and community spirit. In the off season Poppy loves to attend the Australian Open in Melbourne and compete in fun spirited tennis matches against friends.

Sylvia - Programs Manager
Sylvia is a dedicated teacher with a Bachelor of Primary School Education from the Australian Catholic University. With five years of experience as a primary school teacher, she has honed her skills in creating engaging and effective lesson plans. Her pivotal moment came when she was asked to develop programs for students struggling with their studies at her school. This experience opened her eyes to her true passion for creating lessons to meet diverse learning needs of students.
As the Programs Manager at OWLearners, Sylvia combines her classroom experience with education, ensuring that every program is thoughtfully crafted to inspire and engage students. She believes that learning should be fun and accessible for everyone, and she works daily to achieve that goal.
Outside of her professional life, Sylvia is an avid reader, having developed a passion for literature at a young age. By the age of 7, she had memorised the entire first Harry Potter book, beginning her love for stories and learning. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring new books, attending literary events, and sharing her love of reading with her students and fellow educators.
